Silk
Silk is a natural animal fiber produced by the silkworm, most commonly the larva of the domesticated silkmoth. The silkworm creates a fine continuous filament to form its cocoon, which can be spun into exceptionally smooth and lustrous yarn.
Silk is lightweight, strong, breathable, and naturally temperature-regulating. Its smooth surface gives knitted and crocheted fabrics a beautiful drape and subtle sheen.
Elegant and versatile, silk works beautifully on its own or blended with other fibers such as wool, cotton, or cashmere for garments, shawls, scarves, and delicate accessories.
